Markus Linnenbrick makes tables by drilling in acrylic. He`s not crazy, or aggressive, necessarily: he simply has a penchant for the shape and thickness of acrylic tables from the 60s and 70s, and so has identified the surface as his canvas.
Another stunner from CB2, this time featuring a chrome base that works nicely to offset warmer materials, like that vintage walnut media console you may have that we`re hypothetically quite envious of.
Topped with a plexiglass display filled with bright, textured pigment, the piece cleverly draws focus inward from its edges. Now, after more than 50 years in production, the coffee table’s influence is reaching the mainstream in clear and colorful ways.
The reader can’t help but appreciate the delicacy of the Holocene Era, which supports life as we know it. This table is meant to represent the tenuous situation we humans face.
